Makeup created to protect your youth, keep your skin healthy, and cover up your lack of sleep and stress.

We can conceal flaws, but what if we could help heal our skin and promote change? After years of glopping thick concealer onto my problematic areas on my face, I decided to try a different approach. My long term goal is to be confident with no makeup , and to only use it when the event calls for it, or i need a little to enhance my complexion or cover my temporary problem area. In order to achieve this, I need products that modify and heal skin/cells. All of the claims made in this post are my own and are not statements made by the company Jane Iredale.

Barely There

“WOW! What skin care have you been using? Your face looks more balanced and hydrated.”

Coworkers, bosses, friends, and family all noticed a change in my appearance after using my new makeup routine. Corrective Colors Camouflage by Jane Iredale is my savior for blemish breakouts and sleepless nights. No one ever asks me "are you tired" or "didn't get any sleep again" anymore. Before they all could notice the thicker concealers that would eventually crease throughout the day or become odd shades of beige or orange.

Color Correction

Corrective Colors Camouflage by Jane Iredale has four corrective colors: orange, beige, yellow, and lilac.

Orange: This is the color I use the most. I wish they had this for individual sale (however they do have similar products in similar shades of color). Orange neutralizes purples, blues, and grays in the skin. This is used for my under-eye discoloration.

Beige: This color is on the pallet for hyper pigmentation. I personally use it at times as a hydrating light foundation! I also noticed it blends slight discoloration on my skin from acne scaring or redness around my nose.

Yellow: This color conceals redness. Typically color correcting pallets have a green color corrector, but I personally find this yellow to neutralize better on my olive skin. I also think it would compliment pale complexions well.

Lilac: This color conceals yellow. I must admit, I have never used this color... but I would love feedback from anyone who has!

What makes it unique

“That is THE best smelling makeup.”

First impressions are important. This pallet is packaged in a neat clean fashion. It is a box that is a compact 3 inches x 3 inches and less than an inch thick which makes it great for traveling or throwing in a purse. I carry mine with me everywhere. When you open the top flap, you are immersed in an uplifting fresh fragrance. This is the green tea! Yes there is green tea in this makeup! The four colors are separated completely from one another allowing appropriate space for someone to accidentally smudge the color without mixing it into another color. Brilliant. There is also a small brush included with is great for detailing, but I personally find the product to work well with my fingers because it loosens the consistency of the product which is one of the biggest critiques about this product. The makeup is primarily oils so they do solidify at room temperature, but become a creamier texture with some heat and pressure.
